Key Earnings Reports Next Week

Below is a list of the 45 largest stocks by market cap set to report earnings next week.  For each stock, we include its current EPS estimate, its historical earnings beat rate (from our Interactive Earnings Report Database), and its average change on its past earnings report days going back to 2002.

On Monday morning, McDonald's (MCD) reports earnings, and after today's horrific action in Chipotle (CMG) following its report, investors will be watching MCD closely to see if it's a group-wide trend.  Texas Instruments (TXN), Baidu.com (BIDU) and VMware (VMW) report after the close on Monday.

On Tuesday, Biogen (BIIB), AT&T (T), Altria (MO) and DuPont (DD) will report in the morning, while Apple (AAPL) reports after the close.  Apple has historically beaten earnings estimates 88% of the time, and it has averaged a gain of 1.97% on its report days over the last ten years.

Wednesday morning we'll hear from Ford (F), Boeing (BA), Pepsi (PEP), ConocoPhillips (COP) and Caterpillar (CAT), while Visa (V) and Las Vegas Sands (LVS) are set to report Wednesday afternoon.  3M (MMM), United Tech (UTX) and Exxon Mobil (XOM) report on Thursday morning, while Facebook (FB), Amazon.com (AMZN) and Starbucks (SBUX) will provide Q2 numbers after the close.  Facebook (FB) will surely get a lot of attention since it's its first earnings report as a public company.  Merck (MRK) and Chevron (CVX) round out the week with reports on Friday morning.

We saw a large number of reports this week, and the results were mixed.  Next week we'll get an even larger number of reports, and by the end of the week, we'll have a pretty good idea how this earnings season stacks up.
