Big Up Fridays to End the Month

Today was just the 13th time in the S&P 500's history (since 1928) that it gained more than 2% on a Friday to close out a month.  It was the first time in its history that it has happened in June.  Below is a table showing the prior twelve occurrences.  As shown, the index has averaged a gain of 0.31% on the following trading day and 1.79% over the next week when this has happened in the past.
