Earnings Reports by Day This Season

Alcoa (AA) kicks off the fourth quarter earnings season today after the close.  But things don't really pick up until next week.  In fact, this week only 15 US companies are set to report, which is the same number that will report next Tuesday alone (Monday is the MLK holiday).  The most voluminous day this earnings season won't come until February 2nd when 168 companies are set to report.  Below is a chart showing the number of reports by day this earnings season.

With so few companies reporting this week, there's still time to prepare for the upcoming earnings season.  One of the more popular reports we publish for Bespoke Premium members is our Interactive Earnings Season Calendar.  Below is a screenshot of a small portion of the calendar, which highlights a number of key earnings season stats for every company set to report over the next month and a half.  For each stock, the calendar shows its current EPS estimate, how often it has beaten estimates in the past, and how it historically reacts in price to its past reports.  The calendar allows members to get a detailed earnings analysis for all of the stocks in their portfolios as well as find new stocks that may be worth trading in response to earnings.  Click here to become a Premium member today.
