Stocks to Watch This Earnings Season

While earnings season started on Monday, things don’t really pick up until next week.  With that in mind, we ran a number of filters through our Interactive Earnings Report Database to find stocks that may be intriguing trades on or around their report days this season.  To make any of the lists highlighted, the stock has to be in the Russell 3,000 and have at least 10 quarterly earnings reports since the bull market began in March 2009.  The stock also has to be set to report earnings between now and February 24th.

The stocks in our first list shown below have basically been the most consistent winners on their report days since the bull market began.  Out of all the Russell 3,000 stocks that report between now and 2/24, just ten made the cut.  Each stock on the list has beaten earnings and revenue estimates 80% of the time or more since March 2009.  Each stock has also gone up on the day of its report (for companies that report after the close, we use the next day’s change) at least 80% of the time.  One final criteria to make the list is that the stock can’t have lowered guidance at all since March 2009 as well.

While past earnings performance is no guarantee of future earnings performance, the names below have done remarkably well on their report days over the last few years...
