Apple Breaking Away from Exxon as Biggest Company in the World

As we noted yesterday, Apple has just made a nice breakout to new highs.  Exxon Mobil (XOM), on the other hand, remains much closer to its 2011 low than its 2011 high.  This divergence, which can be seen in the chart below, has pushed Apple's market cap well above that of Exxon's, which for quite awhile was the largest company in the world.  Apple is the clear title holder for now.
