Economic Data: Saved By Friday

After a string of disappointing economic reports in the first four days of the week, Friday's data helped to salvage the week with a string of better than expected reports.  Of the six reports issued today, three came in better than expected (Empire Manufacturing, Industrial Production, and Michigan Confidence), two were inline, and one was weaker.  For the entire week, there were sixteen major reports issued, and of those sixteen reports, seven came in ahead of expectations, seven were weaker, and two were inline.  Call it a draw, but compared to where we were stood at 8:30, you can consider a draw a win.
