Google: From Hero to Goat in Less Than a Week

Shares of Google (GOOG) were all the rage last week as the stock broke out and rallied to a new 52-week high. Less than a week later, though, investors aren't nearly as positive on the stock.  Whether it was the abrupt change in management, the potential for increased competition with Apple (AAPL) now that the iPhone is on Verizon's network, or the $100 million going away present for CEO Eric Schmidt, investors have quickly lost their enthusiasm for the stock.  As shown in the chart below, last week's breakout is turning into this week's breakdown.  The stock has now broken its uptrend and is trading just 1% above its 50-day moving average.
