29 Stocks in the Nasdaq 100 Up More Than Gold
Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at 03:53PM While gold gets all the headlines with its run to record high prices, you would think that nothing has done better than the yellow metal this year. However, as we noted yesterday, gold's metal relative silver even has it beat. Furthermore, even in the boring and out of style universe of equities, there have been areas of strength. For example, in the Nasdaq 100 alone, 29 out of the index's 100 components have outperformed gold YTD. Don't try telling someone who has been long BIDU, PCLN, or AAPL that gold is the place to be.
