Large Number of Losing Streaks

The S&P 500 is down a whopping 8.19% over the last 10 trading days (two weeks).  The index has been down 9 of these 10 days, so the trek has been pretty much straight down.  The 2-weeks of market losses have caused a very large number of stocks to go on losing streaks.  In the Russell 1,000, there are currently 175 stocks on 5-day losing streaks or more.  There are 9 stocks on 10-day losing streaks or more.  These kind of numbers are rarely seen.
