Consumer Discretionary Joins Technology as Another Sector Above Pre-Lehman Levels

Technology surpassed its pre-Lehman levels some time ago, and the sector is now 8.54% above its close on September 12th, 2008.  Consumer Discretionary has now joined Technology as another sector above its pre-Lehman levels.  As shown below, Consumer Discretionary is now up 2.79% since its close on 9/12/08.  The next closest sector to its pre-Lehman level is Consumer Staples.  The recent run-up in consumer stocks has been quite astounding.  The Financial sector remains the farthest below where it was trading on 9/12/08 at -27.34%.
