Bespoke's Paul Hickey on CNBC; Our Bullish Call One Year Ago

Please click the video below to view Bespoke Co-Founder Paul Hickey's appearance on CNBC's "Street Signs with Erin Burnett" today.  Erin started off the segment noting that we had "indeed accurately called the bottom" a year ago on her show, and we appreciate Erin giving us credit for this!

Along with Paul's CNBC appearance one year ago, it has also been just over a year since we made a major move in our Model Stock Portfolio at Bespoke Premium.  On March 2nd, 2009, we moved our Model Stock Portfolio from 75% cash all the way down to 15% cash.  As the market fell and fell and fell leading up to the lows, our cash level increased more and more as we sold or got stopped out of positions.  This high cash level allowed us to heavily outperform the S&P 500 during the bear, but it was our move from 75% cash down to 15% cash on March 2nd, 2009 that allowed us to keep pace with the market during its 65% surge since then.  Below is the text we included with the move that day (you have to be a subscriber to see which stocks are in the portfolio).  Since its inception in May 2007, the Bespoke Model Portfolio is outperforming the S&P 500 by 25 percentage points.  To follow the Bespoke Model Portfolio, you have to be a Bespoke Premium or Premium Plus subscriber.  Click here to subscribe today.
