Weak Consumer Confidence Hurts Market?

Most investors seem to be blaming the weak Consumer Confidence report on today's market drop.  But if this is the case, no one told the consumer sectors.  As shown below, the Consumer Discretionary and Consumer Staples sectors are the two best performing sectors today, not the worst.  Both are down less than 50 basis points, while Materials, Financials, Energy, and Technology are all down more than 1.30%.
