S&P 500 Back to Back 1% Gains

With two days in a row of 1%+ gains, the S&P 500 has now ended its longest streak without back to back gains of 1% since early 2008 (80 trading days).  Prior to the last two days, the last time the S&P gained more than 1% two days in a row was back in early October.  In light of the strength we saw in the fourth quarter, it was somewhat surprising to see that during the last two and a half months of 2009, the S&P 500 didn't have any occurrences of back to back 1% advances.
