S&P 500 Testing 50-DMA

The S&P 500 has gone back and forth for the past 9 trading days, but today is the first day that the index has broken below its 50-day moving average on an intraday basis.  A close below the 50-day would be seen as a negative for market technicians, and it would be the first close below since September 1st.
