After three days of trading to start the new year, the average stock in the S&P 500 is up 2.14%.  Below we highlight the 30 best and worst performing stocks in the index so far in 2010.  As shown, WYNN is up the most with a gain of 15.15%, followed by GNW, NBR, TIE, DOW, F, and S.  There are 17 stocks up more than 10% already, while just one stock in the index is down more than 5% -- ICE (-5.54%).  There's a long year ahead, but the bulls can't complain about the start to 2010.
