The Best of the 2000s

Of the 2,971 stocks currently in the Russell 3,000, 1,997 of them were around at the start of the 2000s.  The average price change of these 1,997 stocks during the 2000s was 182%, so this shows you the impact of survivorship bias, given that the index itself was down for the decade.


There are 80 stocks currently in the Russell 3,000 that were up 1,000% or more last decade.  Below we highlight the 50 best performers in the index during the 2000s.  To anyone who bought MED on 12/31/99 and held it throughout the entire decade -- we salute you!
