Fox Business Network Joins Bloomberg and CNBC in the New York Tri-State Area

Business news junkies in the New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut areas have just seen their viewership options increase.  Just days after Vanity Fair asked if the Fox Business Network was a lost cause, News Corp. announced today that it had reached an agreement with Cablevision to carry FBN.  You have to go pretty high up in the listings to find it, but at least it's there.  In the Westchester County area, FBN is at channel 106, one above Bloomberg at 105 (CNBC is currently at channel 24).  While the deal will only have a marginal impact on the network's total reach, we would note that Cablevision's customer base has one of the highest concentrations of financial professionals in the country.  Therefore, this deal does have a major impact on the size of the network's reach among potential viewers.

But, FBN-HD (Ch 772) is next to CNBC-HD (Ch 771), at least here in long island. Thanks for pointing out that FBN is now available with cablevision.
