TheStreet.com ETF Ratings
Friday, July 6, 2007 at 07:49AM We recently took all of the ETFs that we analyze in our daily ETF Trends report and ran them through TheStreet.com's Ratings tool. TheStreet.com Ratings "uses proprietary statistical models using key financial metrics and indicators to rate stocks, mutual funds, ETFs, banks, insurance and other financial interests." The Ratings are based on a grading scale from A+ to E-. They consider anything from an A+ to a B- a "Buy", anything from a C+ to a C- a "Hold", and anything from a D+ to an E- a "Sell". TheStreet.com rates 135 of the 213 ETFs that www.BespokePremium.com analyzes, and of those 135, 17% got an A+ and 53% were rated "Buys".
Below we highlight the ETFs that TheStreet.com rates an A+. Interestingly, most of the A+ rated ETFs were country or regional ETFs outside of the US. From our list, there were only 3 US related ETFs rated an A+: PRF, IWS and PPA.
